Commander William T. Riker has had a distinguished career in Starfleet, and had already been offered on numerous occasions a command of his own. But his former aspiritions of having the shortest time of reaching the rank of Captaincy have been squashed to the bottom of his priority list while serving on the Enterprise. Apparently he had become too fond of the ship and its crew to care about breaking Kirk's old record. The crew have certainly become fond of him as well, especially the female side of it. Riker saved Earth from the Borg in the year 2366, after taking command when Picard was kidnapped. He also met his own double 8 years after a freak transporter accident. Riker enjoys poker, jazz music, and physical activities. The latter with the exception of Worf's training excercises. Jonathan Frakes himself has made a mark in the television world appearing on such shows as Wings and the new series "Fact or Fiction".
