Semper
Fidelis
As a start to this site, I want to explore the meaning of
Semper Fidelis or Semper Fi as it is sometimes expressed. Semper Fidelis
simply put means "Always Faithful". I like to think that the
underlying meaning of this is, bear in mind this is in my own words
... A loyalty that knows no boundries.
Recently I read
a post on one of the wonderful boards that I belong to (MarineParents.com)
that so enbodied the meaning of Semper Fidelis that not only did it
give me goosebumps but I had to ask the author if I could use it here
as my first posting. He graciously gave me consent so with no further
ado ... click here to read "Semper Fidelis
in a Garden of Stone".

Marines
are the greatest!
I thought that this might cheer up some of those lonely Marines that
we call family and friends by letting them know what we think of them.

Words sent from a 2/4 Marine ... I Believe
The following addition to
this tribute site was sent by a Marine with the 2/4. It truly shows
the life-changing effect becoming and living as a Marine has to our
young people if these words touch them. It is one of those poignant
views that imprints itself on your heart. I
believe, Sent by a 2/4 Marine.

A
Letter from the Western Front
This is a link to
a short animated film titled "A Letter from the Western Front".
Every soldier, be he/she Marine, Army, Navy, Air Force, etc that is
deployed leaves behind a mother, family, or girlfriend or wife. This
short animated film is based deep in the trenches of Belleau Wood,
France during WWII, where love confronts death. A young soldier struggles
to finish what may be his final dispatch to his beloved wife. Heartwrenching
and enlightening view on what war means to our beloved Marines. Click
here to view "A
Letter from the Western Front" by Atom Films.
